Strategic plans often fail to achieve results because they are top-down, financially driven exercises developed in isolation by the Management Team or a strategy firm, turned over to employees to execute. My approach involves employees throughout the process to uncover their ideas and foster alignment and ownership of strategic priorities to grow the business and action plans to get it done.
As a seasoned business leader with more than 25 years of experience in business strategy and brand management at leading global and Canadian companies, I have led the development and implementation of business strategy in every role throughout my career. From my earlier days in consumer packaged goods at Kraft and PepsiCo to recent leadership roles at Knightsbridge Human Capital and LHH where I learned from leading experts how to engage and align people. Unlike many consultants from big strategy firms and academia, I have been accountable for the results of the business strategies I've led and implemented.
